Governor’s Cup 2024: Jeff Brohm on ‘solid finish’ over rival Kentucky
Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm praised his team for winning Saturday’s Governor’s Cup battle against their rival Kentucky.
Saturday evening, snow blanketed much of the Louisville metro area, covering cars, trees, grass and some roads.
“Many people in southern Indiana and the northern half of Kentucky are starting December with some snow,” the National Weather Service in Louisville posted on Facebook Sunday morning. “Light snow changing to showers early this morning.”

Snow spotters in nearby Kentucky towns reported similar totals, with one of the highest reporting 3 inches in Lexington.
State highways were “mostly wet” across the commonwealth as of 7 a.m. Sunday and crews were still looking for slick spots at that time, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said in a statement.
“If you have to travel, take it easy, give yourself time and space between vehicles,” the transport cabinet said.

In Louisville, snow plow crews reported for work at 6 p.m. Saturday and have been plowing the city’s 110 snow routes ever since. according to Metro Public Works. Drivers were advised to slow down, plan ahead and watch for snow plows.

The forecast high temperature in Louisville for Sunday was 36 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecastAnd it won’t get much warmer than that in the coming days.

Monday evening: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. Northwest wind around 5 km/h becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 34. Calm wind shifting west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44.
Wednesday evening: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 35.
Thursday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 18.
